Global security expert and New York Times Bestselling author Fred Burton visited TJ March 21 and 22, 2016. Burton is Stratfor’s vice president for intelligence, is one of the world’s foremost experts on security, terrorists and terrorist organizations. He is also an author, and his most recent book, Under Fire: The Untold Story of the Attack in Benghazi, is a New York Times and Los Angeles Times bestseller. He gave an evening lecture (open to the community) on March 21, and talked with TJ’s high school students during the school day on March 22. The Steven McCollum Distinguished Speakers Series at TJ provides topical insight and historical perspective on current events in the U.S. and around the world.
